Banana Cream Pie, Cafe Isabel
What: Banana Cream Pie
Where: Cafe Isabel
All of the factors to make this superstar was there. But ... we didn't enjoy it. The slices of banana were rock solid, but the cream that made it bed was surprisingly watery. And it toppled over halfway though. Like it's top half fell out. So we didn't appreciate that. Overall, it was good enough, though the desert certainly needs more work.
Price: P125 - a bit steep, if you ask us. We tasted better.

Burritos, Rheko's Pizza
What: Burrito
Where: Rheko's Pizza
For hardcore Mexican gourmands, Rheko's Burrito isn't recommended as the slight bitterness and spiciness of a typical Mexican burrito is absent from this version. But this would be especially appealing to people who likes Italian food, due to the sourness of the red sauce which is all the more heightened by the chunks of tomato in the sauce.,
Price: P89 - Pwede na.

Chili Prawns, Grandma's Best
What: Chili Prawns
Where: Grandma's Best
Not as chili as we had hoped, although still good. We just didn't get why the prawns had to still be in its shell though. What a waste of the savory sauce that was on its shell.
Price: P120 - The serving was large enough to be shared by two people.

Macchiato, Cafe Isabel
What: Macchiato
Where: Cafe Isabel
We were prepared to give it a thumbs up right the moment it was placed on our table. For a relatively inexpensive price for a Macchiato, it would've been easy giving it a very high rating based on looks alone. But ... the major drawback was ... the milk just overpowered the coffee. I mean, don't get us wrong, it was supposedly a 'milky' beverage, but it was just too much for our taste. Like it had 30-70 ratio, with 30 being its coffee content.
Price: P55 - Reasonably priced, but the milk content was a little overdone that I had barely tasted the coffee.
